Material is never just “stone”
Strength is only part of the picture. Abrasiveness drives wear, moisture encourages sticking, clay can cause blockages, and feed grading affects flow stability. Material from one quarry can vary by layer and season.
Consistent feed beats short peaks
A brief high flow is not the same as stable output across a shift. Overfilling and idle running both harm the result. The hopper, feeder, and operator need to maintain a predictable flow suited to the machine.
Product targets change the balance
Tighter limits on top size and fines make screening and a closed circuit more important. Recirculated material passes through equipment again and uses part of the available capacity, so inlet flow alone is not enough to describe saleable output.
Wear moves the result over time
Working surfaces do not stay new. As they wear, gaps, product grading, and energy demand change. Inspection intervals, replacement criteria, and service access directly affect average monthly output, even when they never appear in the headline rating.
Building an honest estimate
Collect material data, target products, shift patterns, and the process diagram. Clarify whether a capacity figure means feed, recirculating load, or finished product under a defined setting. Agree on a range and assumptions with MIDEX; that is more useful than one maximum number.
